An Activity for NPI lookup through the API provided by National Plan & Provider Enumeration System.

The Administrative Simplification provisions of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) mandated the adoption of standard unique identifiers for health care providers and health plans.

An NPI is permanently associated with a specific individual regardless of any changes in practice location or additional specialty training.

This activity will connect with the provider NPI database provided by CMS in real time via NPI lookup API and bring below listed results as an output.

Provider’s Basic details like First Name, Last Name, Organisation Name, Credentials etc

Address details like Address line 1, Address Line 2, City, State, Postal code, Telephone no etc.

Taxonomies like Code, License, description etc.

Identifiers like Issuer, code, state etc.

UiPath custom activity for real time NPI lookup through the API provided by National Plan & Provider Enumeration System and bring provider list results(Payer claims, referral provider, credentialing)

Medical Sanctions are aimed at excluding people with questionable backgrounds from participating in federal healthcare programs. The exclusions are mandated under sections 1128 and 1156 of the Social Security Act. Generally speaking, people tend to get sanctioned after having committed some form of violation.Medical sanctions are administered by the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) in the US Department of Health and Human Services.&nbsp;OIG (Office of Inspector General, Health Department US) office has provided an online portal to search and validate providers against the List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE). It also provides a downloadable database&nbsp;which is updated monthly.UiPath Provider Sanction Validation accelerator is designed to access the provider sanction details with multiple search criteria such as First Name, Last Name, Date of Birth (DOB), City, State, Zip code etc. without the need to navigate multiple screens.&nbsp;This validation accelerator can be utilized as per the business process requirement for processes such as Provider Credentialing, Out of network Provider verification for Medical Claims, Referring Provider updates.

UiPath Provider Sanction Validation accelerator enables download and quick search for individuals / entities against the downloaded database from OIG (Office of Inspector General, Health US) portal. 

The Provider Data Update workflow is designed to assist a healthcare payers provider data group, to maintain and update Healthcare Provider information with robotic assistance.  

When an update has been identified as required, the staff can work along side an attended robot to automatically search and update the provider information.  This workflow will provide the ability to input a provider name and the robot will search the NPI registry to gather the updated information (address, phone, etc).  Once this data is collected, the robot will update the Payers provider data systems of record.  Providing a reduced need for data input, improving accuracy and speeding up the process.

In the midst of COVID-19, the administration within enterprises would find themselves hard to collect health status information from employees.

This solution is pre-configured to pass the link of an online health survey form to employees through WhatsApp or email and it would periodically notify those who has yet to fill in the survey. 

Once a day the data in the survey will be summarised into an Excel report and emailed to the pre-configured recipient.

1. read a predefined config file, which contains various settings like the notification message and survey link, recipient phone # and email address etc

2. every two hours (configurable) the robot downloads the report from the survey provider (for now we choose Microsoft Form)

3. from the report the robot checks who hasn't fill in the form yet and it would send a notification message through WhatsApp to them, meanwhile the manager will also receive a list of these non-respondent through email

4. at the end of day (~6pm), manager will receive a report which contains various statistics and pie charts
