Overview

In a very general scenario, a RPA process may require retrieval of attributes of a saved email. This activity would come in handy when a Bot tries to retrieve email attributes in the background, without the need to open an email on UI.

A typical use case scenario would include an email (.msg file) saved locally in a folder. Since the information cannot be obtained directly, one needs to open it and then read the content manually. Automating this by UI Automation will create UI based dependencies and use of string manipulation which is not very reliable. The automation is performed in the background.

Input Parameters:

FilePath: File Location (Full Path)

Output Parameters:

Output: Mail Message Object (From, To, Cc, Bcc, Subject, Body, received/sent date (extracts date if the value is not null or empty, else it gives current date as an output) attributes can be retrieved).
