Overview
With UiPath Data Service, it is only natural that Automations find a way to work seamlessly and be managed more efficiently across the Enterprise by hosting their configuration settings in Data Service.
This template is built upon another existing project template named
"Advanced Enterprise RPA Process Template" hosted on UiPath Marketplace.
The Template comes built-in with the Entities and the utilities required for Automation creators to create and upload the configuration settings for their automations to UiPath Data Service.
The Template also demonstrates one way of building Browser-agnostic automations by configuring Browser dependent settings in the Configurations and avoid code changes to automations where possible.
In addition, the Template retains the ability of its predecessor to switch to one of the various other configuration sources such as a Local Access Database, a Remote Database or the traditional Config.xlsx file.
Further, organizing settings in Data Service or Databases helps further organize Enterprise Automations based on Automation names and Tenant names to address the challenge of many automations that can be deployed on several different Orchestrator Tenants existing across the Enterprise.
Finally, centrally updating configuration settings enables all of the related automations to alter their operational behavior without requiring extensive code changes or redeployments.
