Amazon Textract is a service that automatically extracts text and data from scanned documents. Amazon Textract goes beyond simple optical character recognition (OCR) to also identify the contents of fields in forms and information stored in tables.
The Amazon Textract activities give you the ability to automate interactions with the Amazon Textract service. Using the Amazon Textract APIs, the 5 activities in this package provide the following text and document analysis capabilities:
- Extract text from single and multipage documents
- Analyze documents to detect items such as key-value pairs, tables, and selection elements
