Best Practices:
- Start and End each action with logs.
- Logs include the library name and the version being leveraged.
- Each snippet leverages a standard architecture (pre-condition, core action, post-condition).
- Create customer exceptions for pre-conditions and post-conditions.
How to add the snippets to Studio:
- Download the snippet.
- Unzip the file.
- NOTE: Delete the .settings folders so it is not imported into the Snippets tab.
- Open Studio.
- Open the Snippets tab.
- Click Add Folder.
- Locate the unzipped folder.
- Click Select Folder.
- You should be able to see the snippets.
How to leverage the Snippets:
- There are several basic actions (workflows) that are included. i.e. Launch, Logon, Logout, Click, SetData, GetData, Close.
- Create a Library.
- Create a new sequence workflow. Remove any sequences automatically created and you now have an empty workflow.
- Click and drag the snippet you want to leverage for your functions.
- Update the selectors (Prefer Object Repositories).
- Update exceptions for pre-conditions and post-conditions.
- Create variables and arguments if required.
- Add any required annotations.
- Repeat for all actions required within the application.
- Publish.
