The UiPath OmniPage Activities package features the OmniPage OCR activity, leveraging the advanced Nuance OmniPage OCR Engine. This activity is designed to extract text and associated information from specified UI elements or images through the utilization of the OmniPage OCR Engine.

Versatility in OCR Engine Applications

Comprising technical solutions, this package facilitates comprehensive analysis and processing of document flows. The primary objective of the OmniPage OCR activity is to achieve complete digitization, classification, and data extraction capabilities.

It can be used as an alternative to other OCR engines. You can use it with any of the available activities from the UI Automation, Computer Vision packages and also with the Digitize Document activity from the Intelligent OCR package.

Language Diversity in OmniPage OCR

Within the OmniPage package, users have the option to select either the Basic or Extended language package. Notably, the Extended package requires a separate installation and encompasses a broad spectrum of languages, including but not limited to Asian, Arabic, Thai, Hebrew, and Vietnamese. This diversity ensures robust language support for enhanced OCR functionality.

IMPORTANT: Installing this package version requires upgrading all the other Document Understanding packages to their latest version (in case any are installed). This includes the following packages: IntelligentOCR (>= 6.4.0), DocumentUnderstanding.ML (>= 1.16.0), PDF (>= 3.9.0), AmazonTextract (>= 1.0.0), OCR.Activities (>= 3.9.0) and OmniPage (>= 1.11.0). On lower versions, some functionality may be missing or unexpected errors might occur.
