Unveiling the UiPath PDF Activities Pack

The UiPath PDF Activities pack comprises a set of functionalities designed for the extraction of data from PDF and XPS files, subsequently storing it within string variables. It facilitates data extraction from either the entire document or a specified range of pages, as configurable through the Range property inherent in each activity.

Functionalities Within the PDF Activities Pack

The package includes the following App Integration related activities:

• Get PDF Page Count - Provides the total number of pages in a PDF file.
• Read PDF Text - Reads all characters from a specified PDF file and stores them in a string variable.
• Read PDF With OCR - Reads all characters from a specified PDF file and stores it in a string variable by using OCR technology.
• Read XPS Text - Reads all characters from a specified XPS file and stores it in a string variable.
• Read XPS With OCR - Reads all characters from a specified XPS file and stores it in a string variable by using OCR technology.
• Export PDF Page As Image - Creates an image from a page in a specified PDF file.
• Extract Images From PDF - Extracts images from a specified PDF file.
• Extract PDF Page Range - Extracts a specified range of pages from a PDF document.
• Join PDF Files - Joins multiple PDF files stored in an array of strings into a single PDF file.
• Manage PDF Password - Changes the password of a specified PDF file.

IMPORTANT: Installing this package version requires upgrading all the other Document Understanding packages to their latest version. (in case any are installed).

This includes the following packages: IntelligentOCR (>= 6.10.0), DocumentUnderstanding.ML (>= 1.22.0), PDF (>= 3.15.0), AmazonTextract (>= 1.0.0), OCR.Activities (>= 3.9.0) and OmniPage (>= 1.11.0). On lower versions, some functionality may be missing or unexpected errors might occur.
