The AI approach used is not a standard OCR. To ensure the highest accuracy, a 3-step process has been implemented:
  • The input image is processed to detect an Italian Vehicle Registration Certificate;
  • The image is then scanned to identify all the ROIs (Regions of Interest);
  • Each ROI identified is finally processed to extract data.
The AI model has been developed using a rich data set (images of different quality and formats). The model is also frequently updated to improve its performance.
