When running the bot using the Microsoft Token activity I keep getting an error. "Get Microsoft Token: Illegal character: 8"Any idea what I might be doing wrong? I entered the Secret Key value that was shown before activating on my device that would be doing the approval. So I figured once it was activated it would work without any issue. But I activated the Secret Key on a different device (via phone), not the activity in this case. Maybe that is my issue? If so, I am not 100% sure how I would activate the Secret Key through UiPath then.I really would like to use this activity, but can't get it to work. The Secret Key is all numeric and I am not using spaces.

I am still facing the issues for two-factor authentication.

I am using microsoft authenticator for two factor authentication. I am approving through app. I can change this method to SMS but not email... These sms or app are the two default options. 

For the secret key you are asking to generate throgh the microsoft sign in process.. we dont get can't see bar code.. can't use mobile all time. it cannot generate secret key and there is no documentation regarding the two factor authentication in uipath forum or anywhere.. How can we explore or complete the solution? Please help us out.

While enabling MFA for Microsoft Authenticator, In the configure mobile app page, it shows CODE and URL under barcode. Here CODE is the secret key? and its full of numeric values.

It functions to generate a TOTP no problem! I used it to make logging into Saleforce a little more secure and easier to access compared to OTP via email. 

My only concern initially given that all three activities use the same algorithm is there is no reason to have three different activities.

One of the main functionalities that the latest update contains is the WebLogin Authentication Mode (found under the SharePoint Instance Type property) which can  potentially authenticate the robot even if the SharePoint instance is using 3rd party identity providers or if only multi factor authentication is possible. I noticed that I'm not able to give an entire path to be created on SharePoint using Create folder activity, for example "Path1/Path2/Path3", I need to create a loop and create one folder by time: "Path1", "Path1/Path2", "Path1/Path2/Path3". The documentation says that "It creates nested folders as well", but it throws an exception when one of the nested paths of the RelativeUrl does not exists.

When I try to upload a file with Upload file activity, the RelativeUrl parameter causes problems with some characters, for example a dot, it throws an exception with this message: "Upload file: The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error.". In this case I'm obligated to make the replacements, for example, "." for "%2E". I think the activity should handle it, shouldn't it?Suggestion: Upload file activity could return the URL of the uploaded file for SharePoint online.

Hi, I'm having problem with update list items activity. As the list column types are "User" and "Refer to", we can not update them. The error message is "Invalid data has been used to update the list item. The field you are trying to update may be read only". This group which is also a Active directory group is the group that I have been using to set permission for all my folders in the library but somehow the system not detecting. Please help. After that I tried to use the activity “Sharepoint application scope”, but it is asking for the UserName and Password as the mandatory field. What value should be enter in these two fields? Please confirm.NOTE - SharePoint which we are using is Single Sign On(SSO), we are not entering any UserName and Password while interacting with the SharePoint.

HI Radu, Related to your question below, this is general issue and not specific to Add list item. I am able to upload data manually through excel but not with this SharePoint activity. I guess our organization is using Azure Active Directory for authentication since we are using cloud based SharePoint online. How can I solve this/work around this? It seems that it is not using the default settings from Internet Options.

Lately I am facing problem when trying to use send mail using UiPath.SendExchangeMail activity - rightr after your Sharepoint activity it throws "The Autodiscover service couldn't be located". When I send mail before reaching Sharepoint with your activity then all goes fine. Tested multiple times using different Sharepoint sites and mailboxes and mailbox accounts and results were always the same. Sending mail activities were always outside "Sharepoint application scope" activity. Does your activity somehow "block" Exchange service?

When i use the for each activity, i get the following error: Multiple Assign: Can not assign 'item("Op_x0020_te_x0020_vragen_x0020_m0").ToString' to 'Materie2'.

That is because by that item, the field is empty. That can happen sometimes.

my customer just installed ADFS Services and occur your activities not working as usual.

Currently, we have several production processes that are using the Sharepoint Custom Activities Package 1.3.0. Due to some security changes, those aren't working anymore, as the basic authentication is blocked. I have installed the new version 1.4.1 and tried WebLogin, which does work on my local machine, but it seems that when triggered on our VMs, it isn't working anymore as expected. The problem is that the SSO window appears during the project run, but this isn't happening on my local machine (it actually does open for a split second and get's autocompleted). Do you have any idea what might be missing? Is it a library that I have installed on my local machine, but isn't on the Virtual Machine?

Also, any reason why version 1.4.1 isn't officially available through the go platform? I would find it helpful and would like to be able to read also the new documentation with the newly made changes.

would you mind to add an addditional authentification methode like OAuth2? Then sombody could access the client context with a Client ID and Client Secret instead of an User.

I am trying to use the component to get a file from sharepoint but i get unauthorized error. It seems to be a permission issue, I do have read write permissions to the sharepoint files i am trying to access. Can you please specify what rights are needed for sharepoint to execute this activity?

The lastest version of the package is not working.

We are getting error while using all activies. For instance while using Get list items - "Get List Items: The sign-in name or password does not match one in the Microsoft account system. "

Can you please suggest us what needs to be done?

If I put anything past "ourdomain.sharepoint.com/" in the SharePoint application scope URL it won't connect, but if I just put "ourdomain.sharepoint.com/" I get a successfull connection. My understanding is the URL should be the list where you want to pull data from but I can't get it to connect past this.

Hi Radu, I am trying to dowload certain fields of sharepoint list and filter them on certain value. When I use a CAML editor I get the right result, but in the activty in Uipath it doesn't apply the filter. I have tried different variant with no result. Can you help? Thanks, Gert

since upgrading to UiPath Studio version 2019.10.4 i'm getting the following error in DEBUG - "Read list items: Access denied. You do not have permission to perform this action or access this resource.". When i RUN the activity the read list items runs fine and retreives data correctly. Any thoughts that i can check on my side to fix this issue?

Quick question, I need to add two Sharepoint users to a Sharepoint List Item, I'm using the Add List Item activity.

I add an array of Id's to my dictionary key but I get an exception; is there a way two add multiple users?

In my process I have created a xaml to move item from one location to another location in SharePoint.
 
Used SharePoint scope activity.. inside it added move item activity and checked the properties check in file and check out.
After savings these changes. If i close and open the xaml all the checked properties are unchecked again .

All the other activites are working fine!

However for upload file activity, getting below error-

Cannot invoke HTTP DAV request. There is a pending query.

Is Microsoft SharePoint Client RunTime assembly required for this custom activity package to work?  It's running fine on my local computer in Studio, but when I deploy to Orchestrator the job fails install, complaining about "Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.SharePoint.Client, Version=16.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified." Thanks for creating this useful tool!

With the activities that it has developed, is it possible to obtain the properties of a file such as Created Date, Modified Date or Created By?

I have used UploadFiles activity under SharePointApplication scope and it is working fine to upload files but it is not checking-in those files into SharePoint. I have also marked “CheckInFileAfterCreation” properties but it is still not working.

For other SharePoint URL same activity is working fine but not for this.

Hi Radu , As of now I want to create a workflow using this activities where in I need to get all the filename for each files available in the sharepoint.

We're using Upload File activity on 2 different SharePoint links. The same activity along with its properties is working fine on 1 of the link but on the other link, the file is getting uploaded in the checked out state. However, when we upload the file manually, then there are no issues. So not sure what's the exact root cause of the issue. 

FYI, only the 'AllowOverwrite' property is checked for Upload File activity, all others are unchecked. Package version is 1.3.0

This Syntax does not work Dictionary("Month", "11_Nov")

Month = SharePoint field / 11_Nov = value of the field

Getting rid of Sharepoint UI - Saves a lot of time dealing with Sharepoint UI. It would be better if password argument changes to SecureString, so that Credential value can be passed directly

 - This activities package works well in my environment (onpremise sharepoint2016).
From the view point of security, better to have function for Integrated Windows Authentication.




 - Activities Works fine on SharePoint Online.
To put the password in String is very hard, it would be necessary at least to use the secure String or the identity of the robot.
Have you planned an upgrade on these points?

would you mind to add an addditional authentification methode like OAuth2? Then sombody could access the client context with a Client ID and Client Secret instead of an User.

Significantly easier to use than the official O365 package

I am using SharePoint Web LogIn instance in my workflow. In that even i select "Reset Credential" check box. It doesn't prompt the LogIn window for user input rather directly logs into sharepoint. Could please explain where does it stores the credential and how it remembers even if i restart my computer/closed and opened uipath?. But then when i create a new project and test that activity it works as expected. My doubt here is, In my project i used reset credential option but still logs In automatically. How does it happens? and how can i resolve this issue? For your information i cleared %temp% data in my system. Please provide your support to resolve this issue.
