Settings are read from a local Excel file (.xls or .xlsx) that stands for Input.

This activity takes one Input that is the Path of the Excel file (.xls or .xlsx) as String.

The Output is the collection variable as Dictionary <String,object>.

In Reframework model it is easy to initialize the configuration through InitAllSettings workflow, but in normal flowchart process it is a very time consuming task to read configure variable from an Excel file then save it in a Dictionary object.

This component solves this problem in an easy way.

NOTE: If you are familiar with Reframework, this component does the same thing like InitAllSettings workflow does.

Great Utility - Does the job exactly right. I wondered how InitAllSettings workflow would gracefully read the config file as a dictionary of key/value pairs. All that is done using this single activity.


Simple and to the point - Good job on publishing your first component! I've used it and it works! One thing I think you could have in mind for the following version would be if you could add an option to read without headers (without Name/Value one the first row).

This component solves in an easy way the problem that most activities return the output as DataTable or Excel. 

If you are required to send the value of a DataTable to web or other external services APIs, then you will need Json string format. This component easily converts DataTable to Json format.

This Activity Perform Set Operation between two DataTable as we do in RDBMS.

1) Minus Operation: MINUS (also known as EXCEPT) returns the difference between the first and second SELECT statement. It is the one where we need to be careful which statement will be put first because we will get only those results that are in the first SELECT statement and not in the second.

2) INTERSECT: INTERSECT is opposite to MINUS as it returns the results that are both to be found in first and second SELECT statement.

3) Union: It returns a union of two select statements. It is returning unique (distinct) values of them.

Note: Column Name Must be same in both DataTable

This activity performs a set of operations like Minus, InterSect, Union between two DataTable as we do in RDBMS

In  minus operation there is primary datatable and secondary datatable but from which datatable it removes the data and which is to be removed, i am confused.

 - Useful activity package! One thing that I would change would be the title - 'DataTable Operations' or something similar might better describe the functionalities offered!

1. Inbound Activity - It uploads the files into Vidado platform. It returns an ID and Name after successful upload of files.

2. Outbound Activity - We can fetch the files based on the status argument. For files that are 'Ready to Export' we shall receive JSON and Dictionary result.  'Reviewing' status helps to get the names of files under reviewing state in Vidado.
