We were founded in 2005 in a tiny apartment in Bucharest, Romania as DeskOver.

Fittingly, it was a customer who, in 2012, first saw the immense possibilities for us in the fledgling RPA market. Our desktop automation product launched in 2013. In 2015, we introduced our enterprise platform along with our new name.

Microsoft Translator Text API is a cloud-based machine translation service. With this API you can translate text in near real-time from any app or service through a simple REST API call. The API uses the most modern neural machine translation technology, as well as offering statistical machine translation technology.

For the list of supported languages, both for neural MT and statistical MT, please refer to [Supported languages](https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/cognitive-services/translator/languages).

Custom translator models are also available but in not in the current scope of the activities.

The activities allow for the following use cases:

*   Language Detection
*   Translation from one language to another
*   Transliteration of characters from one alphabet to another
