Summary

Summary

The Life Sciences - Intake Agent assists pharmaceutical companies in classifying and processing inquiries such as Adverse Events, General Inquiries, and Complaints.

Overview

Overview

The Life Sciences - Intake Agent is designed to address the challenge of efficiently managing and classifying the diverse range of inquiries received by pharmaceutical companies. These inquiries often include critical information such as adverse drug reactions, general questions, or complaints about products or services. Without a streamlined process, handling these inquiries can be time-consuming and prone to errors, potentially delaying responses to urgent matters or regulatory reporting requirements.

This agent solves the problem by automating the intake process. It carefully analyzes the subject and body of incoming emails to extract key information, such as the sender's contact details and the nature of the inquiry. Based on the content, it classifies the inquiry into one of three categories: Adverse Event, General Inquiry, or Complaint. The agent prioritizes Adverse Events over other categories to ensure timely attention to critical safety issues. If the email lacks sufficient information for classification, it marks the inquiry as 'Unclear,' ensuring no message is overlooked.

Life Sciences - Intake Agent operates using a structured schema for input and output, ensuring consistency and accuracy in data handling. It extracts essential details from the request like the contact name, phone number, and inquiry type, and outputs them in a standardized format for further downstream processing. This classification output makes it a valuable asset for pharmaceutical companies in managing their inquiry workflows.
