Hi there - Could you please confirm whether this library uses any backend APIs that communicate with servers outside the US? Additionally, is there any documentation available that explains the data localization practices, including data transfer and storage? I would really appreciate it. Thank you!

Hi @Priyansh Kumar

I will respond here: You need to download the right version of the package for your Studio. Use the 2.0.0.11 or newer if you have a Studio above 22.10 (if I am not mistaken), or use lower versions for older Studio variants.

Thank you!

Hi! When I am moving the package file (i.e. ".nupkg") file in my packages folder it is not appearing in the Manage Packages list. May you please guide me through what could be the possible issue here and how to solve the same ?

Hello,

I found this activity very useful and works well for a first level of attachments, but when it comes to multiple sublevels (an attachment within an attachment, etc.) the EmailNet object returned by the activity does not contain any information (all It is null).

Could you tell us if you have tried reading various levels of attachments and, if the error you reported is confirmed, let us know if it will be fixed?

PS: ...I have tested it with .eml and .msg as well, and fails in all cases with several levels of attachments each.

Hi Daniel, the activity was created to deal with the first level of info. As a sugestion: you can save the next level attachment and read that one as a new file, using the same activity (create a loop: for as long as we have a new attachment, we save that one and process it)

I hope this will help you

Will a windows version be available? Converting from windows-legacy with 2022.10 has removed this from my project.

Thnaks, very useful function specially when using queues as I can save the email in the dispatcher and don't ned to find the correct email when processing, I just need to pick up the filename from the transaction's specific data.

Hi Tom,

The new version is already available (see the versions tab)

Thank you!

@Arunanshu.kumar - response for a Review (I am unable to respond in any other manner): The extra characters are not added by the activity, those are added by the windows explorer logic and it happens even if you do a manual download  of the same file (or at least the same name).

You can address this issue by simply checking if the file name already exists, or clearing the destination folder prior to saving those attached files.

Does the output variable return the parameter "html body"? I've been trying to work with it and it is shown as a Null value :(

The object is not working for those Emails that have any attachment ".msg" inside. The error message is "Error converting email becaus: Error write to file. ADODB.Stream. Do you have any solution to this problem? The error only occurs with this kind of attachments, and it is not problem of directory rights, because if I save the attachment manually, it works fine.

Thanks

Hi. I try to get received time from header. Its return wrong date and time. I have used as follow Mailmessage.Headers("ReceivedTime"). Can you please tell me how to get the email Received date and time.

example - in the email received date is 03/20/2020 05:00:00

Output I am getting is - 12/29/1899 19:00:00

for all emails I am getting same output value

Hi Visalakshi,

That means that your email(s) is/are not formated properly. I have tested again and it is working fine.

What to check:

- if the file format is the proper one (each email type has a different structure)

- if the variable that you are "reading" is not altered by other activity

- if the package is working ok for the other properties (try read the subject for example)

- if you have a Regional DateTime setting on that workstation that can interfere with the string format

- any other aspect that may alter the result (I don't know how your project looks)

Thank you,

Catalin
