What is the advantage of using this template? Is it possible to run thin on multiple robots at once?

Hi Silviu,An enhancement, in framework request to add remarks for Success transaction for status file ion Remarks column in status file is empty for Success Transaction (Remarks=string.empty). Hey Silviu, great work so far!Question: if I need to append one extra column (scrapped text from application) to the generated status file (excel sheet) what do you recommend doing? modifying settransaction data or doing directly on the process? so basically I have a tabular data that I input in a application, but I would like to add that extra information that is generated after those inputs are done (something like a confirmation code) on a windows desktop custom app

Thanks a lot for the template. It is really useful. I'm expericencing some troubles while extracting zip files though. 12 files encountered errors in the headers, including Config.xlsx. I think I can make them up on my own, but it would be nice if you can fix this in case anyone else faces it in the future.

Excellent. Many thanks for sharing your work. Was exactly what I needed. Worked the first time and has added the professional REFramwork to a client prototype. 

Ready made REFrameWork for Excel - Interesting modification to the original REFrameWork to be ready made for Excel files. The additions of the Status File with configurable log fields is very nice and allows for further manipulations of the failed transactions by the operations team. Although not many structural changes to the original version, really helps to get started in the same way for tabular input for all projects.
The modularity also helps and one can change the SetTransactionStatus.xaml as well as the new CreateStatusFile.xaml to fit different needs.
I would suggest as new features for a future release:
Configurable columns in the Status File - based on the log fields maybe? Although a separation might be better. This might be required in case parts of the transaction information is confidential and one might want to hide certain columns from the status file (which can be further sent over email automatically)
Currently Excel is supported without modification of the framework. The input file can be csv for instance, so a check for the extension and automatically using the correct activity (Read CSV vs Read Range). Also, native support for DB. Maybe another layer of separation (outside of Init) which will output the Transactions DataTable.
An interesting and useful feature is having support for resuming the work done based on what has been already processed (status file) - kind of the same mechanism that the Orchestrator queue has, but limited to one robot only (locally).

As an additional node, I was think about getting data from text files which are delimited by a special character. Would be glad if such scenarios also can be considered and added as a structured datatable which can be used for processing. It would go hand in hand with CSV's and excel files :)

Looks like a great template but I am getting errors extracting the downloaded zip file. This was also recently reported by someone else in the Questions section
(resubmitted review changing from 3 to 5 stars: I was able to successfully extract the zip when downloaded from github. Hopes this helps someone else looking to use this template)

This template can be used as a starting point for automating processes where the input data comes from an Excel file or other tabular data.

The project was created starting from the standard Robotic Enterprise Framework, available in UiPath Studio starting with version 2018.1. Several changes were made:

TransactionItem variable type changed to DataRow, instead of QueueItem.

Input data is read in the Init state and kept in memory in the TransactionData variable.

GetTransactionData workflow was changed accordingly to get a DataRow from input data based in Transaction Number.

A status file is created in the Init state and updated after each transaction, in SetTransactionStatus workflow.

InputFilePath - can be either a CSV file (.csv file extension) or an Excel file (any supported extension)

InputFileSheetName (used only for Excel input files)

InputFileEncoding (used only if input file is in CSV format)

StatusFileFormat - currently only two formats are supported: Excel (default) or CSV

StatusFileExcludeColumns - allows you to omit specific columns from the Status file.

Robotic Enterprise Framework configured and optimized to get the input data from a tabular data source, such as an Excel or CSV file.
