Systems in a typical organisation tend to be disparate and disconnected. So, the IT team might have no option but to create the user accounts manually. This is a mundane task that we humans are not designed for! Human error in provisioning of these accounts results in loss of productivity and dissatisfaction for the new hire. First impressions count!During the course of the employment, the employee could be authorised additional access to systems, over and above his / her standard role requirements. If the provisioning process is manual, this additional privileged access is likely to become the norm for that role moving forward.
