I absolutely love this package! I use it with every single automation a create for my job on the Enterprise version of UiPath; (22.10.4) I believe. However, as of 2/6/2023, I've started building automation in the Community Version in my own time and this package seems to corrupt whatever project it is placed into:

Specifically:

  1. Search and add Status Progress Package - No Problem (Compiles and Runs just fine)
  2. Add activity from Status Progress - Parameter Key Value Null Error during Compiling Process
  3. Remove Package - Error Persists.
  4. Close UiPath and Re-open project - Iterative Error for each activity in .xaml "Activity Cannot be Null" (Broken Project) and the .xaml is completely blank until I drop in an activity, then they show.

Again the package is SUPERB when functioning. I hope this is fixed soon as all other substitutes don't really match up!

Hi Nick,

Here are two examples, one Legacy and one Windows.  https://github.com/k2zinger/Status-Progress/tree/main/Examples  Do either of these projects work for you?  Can you create a forum post with your corrupt project please?  I am unable to replicate what you described above.  You can tag me with @Kristopher in the post.

Thanks

An additional note......this activity is no longer found via UiPath Studio when searching for UiPathTeam.StatusProgress.Activities.

This is an issue since downloading the examples from GitHub cause an error because it says the activity is missing or could not be loaded properly.  Usually this can be fixed by either Repairing Dependencies or by going to Manage Packages and re-downloading the package.  For some reason, it is no longer found.

Hi Rodney,

I just opened both examples (Legacy and Windows) from github and both work fine.  The packages were automatically downloaded from the Marketplace feed https://gallery.uipath.com/api/v3/index.json

If you are still having issues with the example projects, please create a post in the forum and we can converse there.

Thanks

Thanks for providing responses, Kristopher Kim.  It is GREATLY appreciated.  One update request would be to allow resizing the display box (along with the font).  I'd like the message box to be a little less intrusive such as displaying it in the lower right hand corner but much smaller.  Hopefully an idea that can be implemented if any further updated are going to be done.

The youtube video shows a status bar but how can you use the status bar without setting when to start and stop the status?  For instance, if I was downloading a large file and I wanted to show the status bar, if I use the Live status before the download, the status bar runs but has no correlation to the actual status of the download activity that would be listed after it.  And if I add the Live Status activity after the download activity then the download has already completed.

Can you provide an example or some insight into what/how the status bar is supposed to be used?  It would also be helpful if you were more responsive and answered the other people's questions, too.  If you are not willing to provide answers to questions then I would probably suggest that you don't submit anything to the marketplace.

This example will function AFTER 1.0.3 is released.

Any chance of having someone upgrade this component to be compatible with the new Windows compatibility mode (instead of the current Windows-legacy compatibility)? Since Windows-legacy workflows and projects are being deprecated in Studio an upgrade would prolong the component's life cycle.

Thanks

Version 1.0.3 is currently in review and should be released by February 2023.  This is a migration from XAML files to C# code for ease of maintainability, as well as removing dependence on UiPath.System.Activities.

Unfortunately, this means replacing the current activities in existing workflows with the new version of the activity and re-adding the properties to the activity.

I have found that if you use a Live_Status activity without the Mobile property set to True (to get the control box to appear), the status window will move location slightly to the right on the second call to the Live_Status activity.  It then stays in this new position for all following calles to the Live_Status activity.  This caused a problem for me since I was placing the status window in the top/right position of the screen.  If a person running the bot had 2 displays, the status windo could be split across the 2 displays.  I worked around it by adding the control box to the status window but would prefer not to.  Is there another way to fix this problem?

Can you provide an example workflow of the issue please?  You can create a new post with the sample workflow on the forum https://forum.uipath.com and tag me @Kristopher
