Summary
The Java Activities pack contains several new activities that help you harness the power of Java code.
Overview
Overview
The Java Activities pack introduces a range of new activities designed to leverage the capabilities of Java code seamlessly within UiPath workflows.
The Java Scope activity serves as a pivotal component, allowing you to initialize a Java library and establish a dedicated scope for all subsequent activities. It is imperative that all activities within this pack are executed within the confines of the aforementioned scope.
Within this Java Scope, the Load Jar activity facilitates the loading of .jar files, enhancing the integration of external Java libraries into your automation workflows.
A distinctive feature of the Java Activities pack is the introduction of the JavaObject variable. This specialized data type is tailored for processing outcomes from Java routines in UiPath. It offers the flexibility to convert Java results into standard C# datatypes or utilize them as arguments in other Java methods. The Get Field activity enables the retrieval of fields from methods within this custom data type, allowing storage in JavaObject variables.
JavaObject variables can be instantiated through two primary methods:
For users more comfortable with .NET, the Convert Java Object activity streamlines the conversion of any JavaObject variable into an Object variable, ensuring seamless compatibility between Java and .NET environments. This enhanced interoperability broadens the spectrum of possibilities when integrating Java functionalities into UiPath workflows.
