Introduction to the Presentations Activities Package

The Presentations Activities Package empowers users to automate tasks within Microsoft PowerPoint presentations.

It is important to highlight that activities falling under the App Integration category are specifically designed to operate within Use PowerPoint Presentation. On the other hand, those categorized under System can be implemented independently.

Categorization and Functionality of Activities

Another important piece of information is that the activities in the first category open the PowerPoint application while processing the given details, while the latter does the execution in the background.

App Integration Activities

• Use PowerPoint Presentation - Lets you select a PowerPoint presentation to use in the automation.
• Add Data Table to Slide - Inserts table data into a presentation replacing an empty placeholder or a previous table. This activity must be added inside a Use PowerPoint Presentation activity.
• Add File to Slide - Inserts a file from the disk to a slide and displays it as an icon. This activity must be added inside a Use PowerPoint Presentation activity.
• Add Image or Video to Slide - Replaces a placeholder with a media element with the same name. Use to populate a placeholder in a newly inserted slide with media or to replace media in an existing presentation. This activity must be added inside a Use PowerPoint Presentation activity.
• Add New Slide - Inserts a new slide in a PowerPoint presentation at the specified position. This activity must be added inside a Use PowerPoint Presentation activity.
• Add Text to Slide - Inserts text in a PowerPoint presentation in a specified placeholder. This activity must be added inside a Use PowerPoint Presentation activity.
• Copy Paste Slide - Copies a slide and pastes it to another position. This activity must be added inside a Use PowerPoint Presentation activity.
• Delete Slide - Delete a slide from a PowerPoint presentation. This activity must be added inside a Use PowerPoint Presentation activity.
• Format Slide Content - Modifies content in a slide. This activity must be added inside a Use PowerPoint Presentation activity.
• Replace Text in Presentation - Replaces a specified text within a presentation with another text. This activity must be added inside a Use PowerPoint Presentation activity.
• Paste Item Into Slide - Inserts an item from the clipboard into a PowerPoint presentation. It can be used with data manually copied to the clipboard or with data that was copied to the clipboard by an activity. This activity must be added inside a Use PowerPoint Presentation activity.
• Run Presentation Macro - Runs a specified macro in a macro-enabled presentation. This activity must be added inside a Use PowerPoint Presentation activity.
• Save PowerPoint File As - Saves a PowerPoint presentation as a new file. This activity must be added inside a Use PowerPoint Presentation activity.
• Save Presentation as PDF - Exports a Powerpoint presentation to PDF. This activity must be added inside a Use PowerPoint Presentation activity.

• Add New Slide OpenXML - Inserts a new slide in a PowerPoint presentation at the specified position.
• Add Text to Slide OpenXML - Inserts text in a PowerPoint presentation in a specified placeholder.
