Unzip File with Progress Bar Activity

Unzip file while displaying decompression progress

This custom activity allows to monitor the progress of the decompression of a target .zip and .nuget file.

** If the uncompressed folder already exists in the same directory with the same name, it will be overwritten.

Information displayed:

• Ratio of decompressed over total number of files
• Name of the file being decompressed at header
• Decompression progress per file (%)
• Decompression progress of total (%)

Input: 

• OutputDir (string containing the path of the output directory for the decompressed file)
• TargetZipFile (string containing the path of the compressed file in either .zip or .nuget format)

Output: Decompressed file at designated directory.

Options: Display (check if you would like to be notified once the unzipping is done). *Disable for unattended automation.

Exceptions thrown for:

• Output Directory does not exist
• Target Zip File does not exist
• Not valid format, cannot decompress

This activity is specially useful in the following cases: Unzipping large size files - .zip or .nuget files - during your automation. When automating installing processes. While keeping track of the decompression activity per single file as well as its total progress.
