Overview

When a business requires goods and services from an outside supplier, they engage in a full cycle of actions and events called Procure to Pay or P2P. Vendor master data management is part of the P2P process. The objective of the Update Existing Vendor Solution Accelerator is to create vendor master for the new company code by using a reference vendor. This Solution Accelerator was co-developed in partnership with The Silicon Partners (TSP).

This activity represents a starting point for the automation of a complete vendor master data management process. More specifically, the process includes the following steps:

  1. Retrieve the Input File from a Data Source (like an email inbox, a network drive, SharePoint Folder, or a third-party application).
  2. Extract the information from the input file.
  3. Capture the screenshot of the created vendor and send it on email.

The goal of the UiPath workflows part of this solution is to serve as a solid framework for moving a transaction through all the steps mentioned above in a robust, efficient, and transparent manner.
