**Problem Statement:** It is difficult to get an overview of projects after the development phase. Solution designers and reviewers can benefit from a script, which can easily provide an overview of the workflows developed in the project.

**Solution:** This script iterates through the project folder. For each workflow found, it extracts important design details, such as name of the workflow, variables, arguments and imports used. The output HTML is saved in a human readable format.

  

**Usage 1 - Using the sample project provided:**

1.  Clone the GitHub repository / Download the .ps1 file.
2.  Navigate to the cloned repository.
3.  Run the DocumentationUiPathSampleProject.ps1 file in PowerShell.
4.  The output HTML file will be saved in the cloned repository location.

**Usage 2 - Using one of your projects:**

1.  Clone the GitHub repository / Download the .ps1 file.
2.  Navigate to the cloned repository.
3.  Open the DocumentationUiPathSampleProject.ps1 file in any preferred IDE.
4.  Comment out the line which calls the function DownloadSampleFromUiPathForum.
5.  Edit or Replace the $ProjectPath variable with the location of your project.
6.  Run the DocumentationUiPathSampleProject.ps1 file in PowerShell.
7.  The output HTML file will be saved in the cloned repository location.

The idea for this library initial started with my community forum [solution](https://forum.uipath.com/t/how-to-reduce-file-size-pdf-files-if-greater-than-5mb/334135/7) where the need was to decrease the size of a PDF file. This library has various PDF manipulation activities targeted at different usecases. 

  

For example, if the PDF file needs to be used in a Document Understanding project, it is well worth converting the PDF file with a grayscale scheme. Doing this will both reduce the file size and create a homogenous color for the PDF content. This means the Document Understanding flow will execute faster due to the decreased fize size and grayscale text content. 

  

The usage for each activity is described in the documentation file.

This library integrates Ghostscript functions in UiPath Studio to manipulate PDF files.

This library consists of one activity:  **SendTeamsWebhook.**

  

**This activity sends a webhook notification to a given Webhook link in Microsoft Teams.**

  

_**Pre Conditions:**_

  

1\. A process is run and the webhook is invoked.

2\. [A incoming webhook is setup in Microsoft Teams](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/platform/webhooks-and-connectors/how-to/add-incoming-webhook) .

  

_**Post Conditions:**_

  

1\. A webhook message has been sent to the required Teams channel.

2\. On failure the _out\_ErrorMessage_ and _out\_Success_ boolean can be used to handle failures.

Send notifications to Microsoft Teams from a UiPath Robot. Supports custom entry of success and failure messages.

The idea for this library initial started in June 2022. I noticed that in order to scale our test automation efforts, we also need to build tools which can help us produce test cases in a consistent and easy way, independent of the project or the test automation developer working on test automation projects.  

  

1.  Currently our RPA/Test developers spend a lot of time setting up the necessary test case workflows in test automation projects. This does not scale.
2.  A test developer requires up to 4 minutes to prepare a testing workflow with good annotations and structure. 
3.  Saving time in creating test cases can impact many automation teams across the globe. 

  

UiPath workflows are modular .xml objects. We have found a novel way to utilize the .xaml format to create automated test cases.

*   Added a boolean which when true, will create additional workflow files that can be consumed within the test cases generated.
*   The workflow template used is similar to the one mentioned in this forum tutorial (https://forum.uipath.com/t/creating-error-proof-reusable-workflows-in-uipath/331675).

This library automates the process of creating test cases using an Excel input source.

In any RPA Project, the collboration between the Solution Architect and RPA Developers is critical to deliver robust automation solutions.

  

In addition, the primary goal of any RPA CoE is to deliver automation projects in the most effective way possible. Any large sized RPA project requires increased developer efforts in creating standardized workflows as per the company/CoE standards.

  

Imagine, a Solution Architect has proposed an automation Solution and has a detailed UML diagram created in a charting software. In this case, the design includes a dispatcher and a performer solution. 

  

The solution architect expects that the developers use this solution as a blueprint as much as they can to ensure smooth integration between different phases of the automation. However, when the RPA developers review the solution “translating the design” to robust workflows requires them to adhere to different development standards laid by the CoE. As a consequence, developers end up copying files/workflows from a previous project or have to copy a template workflow into the new project, rename, set arguments, set annotations etc. This is time consuming and repetative.

  

_Only if there was a way to help streamline this “Translation” phase of the project!_

Thats where our solution comes in. We have found an unique way to aid CoEs of RPA projects to automate the “translation phase” i.e., converting their “solution design” to UiPath Workflows.

  

**The Solution** 

*   The detailed Solution Design Document delivered from a Solution Architect (in this case drawn in Visio) is fed to our project as input, our automation extracts the details from the SDD and converts them into Logic and Wrapper workflows in UiPath [Studio](https://docs.uipath.com/studio/docs/introduction).
*   The automation creates all the necessary input and output arguments, annotations, picks the correct template for each of the logic and wrapper workflows which can then be consumed in any automation, for example in a REFramework project.
*   This solution has been used in our organization and has benefited us to streamline our design and build stages of RPA projects. It has allowed RPA developers to focus on building robust logic, rather than performing repitative tasks in setting up boilerplates in UiPath [Studio](https://docs.uipath.com/studio/docs/introduction).
*   In addition, the Solution Architect can be assured that the design has been mostly replicated in the developed code (developers can still have some choices to change the design).

This library translates a SDD document (created in Microsoft Visio) to UiPath workflows which can later be consumed in any UiPath Project

**Motivation**

  

The primary motivation of this activity stemed from an UiPath Community Forum post "[_Why is there STILL no way to delete an In Progress Queue Item?!_](https://forum.uipath.com/t/why-is-there-still-no-way-to-delete-an-in-progress-queue-item/187757/13)"   

  

The secondary motivation came from the fact that we in HEMIT (Helse Midt-Norge IT) wanted to have an internal tool during the build stage where any developer in the team could run an attended robot to modify queue items stuck in _**In Progress**_ status. 

  

  

**Description**

  

This activity starts an attended automation where the user can choose the Orchestrator folder and associated queues within the folder. From the chosen queue, the activity fetches all queue items stuck in In Progress status. Then the user can choose between three modification options:

  

1\. Set the In Progress queue items to new queue items (this option erases the retry history of the queue item and sets it as a fresh queue item).

  

2\. Set the In Progress queue items to retried queue items or failed queue items while retaining the history of the queue item.

  

_**Note**_ 

a) If the max retry has been reached, the queue item is set to Failed status. This is dependent on your Max Retry Number set either in queue settings or from your configuration.

  

b) If a Business exception failure is the chosen failure type, the item will be set to failed queue status and not retried or new. This is because when a business exception occurs, UiPath deems the item to have failed without a need for retry. 

  

3\. Abort the attended automation without any modifications of queue items.

This activity can convert UiPath Orchestrator queue items stuck in "In Progress" status to either new queue items or to retired queue items.
