For a purchase order, once the receipt of goods from the supplier is completed, there will be an invoice received from the supplier for the PO in PDF format. Invoice typically has some key information which has o be extracted like: PO number, Invoice number, invoice amount, tax, total amount, Invoice date, order line items, etc. Extracting this information is a tedious and error-prone task when done manually and then entering in the JDE application to create an AP Invoice (Voucher) which will be matched with the purchase order. The Extraction of data from the Invoice PDF, creation of the invoice and matching it with the Purchase Order in JDE will be handled by Automation UiPath tool.

  

**Solution**

With UiPath Automation Tool, PDF files are read by the bot to extract the key data from the PDF Invoices which are stored in an Excel file. Using this extracted data, the Bot creates the AP Invoice in JDE Application. The Invoice is now matched with the Purchase order in JDE. This way the automation carries out a high volume of Invoice to be created and matched to its Purchase Order in JDE. It carries out the task with clear accuracy ensuring all the Invoices are created and matched to its Purchase Orders. The Invoices line items not matching to its Purchase Orders will be reported as an Exception to be look at by the Business users.

  

**Validate Information**

· UiPath validates all the required data to be extracted from the Invoice PDF for further processing in JDE.

· Extracting key data from the PDF like Invoice number, supplier number, amount, invoice date is carried out.
