Do you have similar one for on premise Jira customers?

Hi Team, This is Shyam and I manage self hosted Jira (not cloud Jira) for my organization. I want to do this integration between UI path and Jira.  However as you might be aware, there is no token generation mechanism in self hosted/ on prem Jira DC version.  I see a comment posted by David Johnston a year ago. Is that been addressed. Please clarify.

Basic authentication would not work, as the REST API would not work with AAD user account and password as  the request gets terminated at the AAD server.

the othey way of doing it is via OAuth.  however for OAuth , the private key has to be shared with the end user  client which consumes and the API and the token generated in the process is valid for only 10 min

I am connecting to JIRA with API token, username and URL.  THere is no way to know if that worked fine or not.

So then, when I try to Search Issues using JQL, and using the most basic query "project=DGT" it throws the error

RemoteException wrapping System.Web.HttpException: Invalid request:

   at UiPath.JiraSoftware.Services.CrudService`1.ExecuteRequest(RestRequest request)

   at UiPath.JiraSoftware.Services.CrudService`1.RequestGet(Dictionary`2 parameters, String id)

at UiPath.JiraSoftware.Services.IssueService.Search(Int32 maxResults, String jqlString, Int32 startAt, Int32& totalNumberOfIssues)

   at UiPath.JiraSoftware.Activities.Issues.SearchIssuesUsingJQL.Execute(CodeActivityContext context)

at System.Activities.CodeActivity.InternalExecute(ActivityInstance instance, ActivityExecutor executor, BookmarkManager bookmarkManager)

   at System.Activities.ActivityInstance.Execute(ActivityExecutor executor, BookmarkManager bookmarkManager)

at System.Activities.Runtime.ActivityExecutor.ExecuteActivityWorkItem.ExecuteBody(ActivityExecutor executor, BookmarkManager bookmarkManager, Location resultLocation)

What that error means?

Hi!

I am working with JIRA Server (not Cloud).

  • Can I use this intergation component?
  • If no, is there future support planned for JIRA Server?

Thank you for your time and answer!

Hi Simon, this package supports JIRA APIs from V3 above. Last I checked, Jira Server was V2. However, if it got updated to V3, it should work.

If it's V2, the following package might support it:

Hello Andrei,

I am trying to connect Jira Software Server with UiPath, but I have troubles with the REST API, because Jira Server's Rest Api lates version is 2, but the URL extension generated from the Jira Software Activity package is as follow rest/api/3, which couse the error: "ups you have found a dead link". Can you help me with this trouble?

Thank you in advance!

Unfortunately, this package only supports API V3.

I'm not sure, but the following package might support V2. Give it a try:

Hi when trying to assign activity to user I get the following message:

Assign Issue: Invalid request: {"errorMessages":["« accountId » must be the unique user identification parameter in RGPD mode."],"errors":{}}

Can you help? I have tried using the account ID to assign but still get the same error.

How to tag/mention someone in comments using this component?

I tried mentioning by adding "@username" and [~username] in comment. But it is getting updated as plain text instead of mention.
