Hi Mitchell ,

i am using elastic and kibana 7.6.1 and not able to import jason file . could you please suggest a way to use this solution for creating dashboard.

Hi Mitchelle,

Can you help me answering the below mentioned things.

1. Can these reports be scheduled to be mailed to business user daily/monthly.

2. In Transaction status by queue, it is just giving two keywords Successful and Failed.

It is considering retried as successful hence count is not correct. How can we identify other transaction status like Retried ,abandoned etc,

Hi Aditya,

Sorry for the delay. Hopefully you've found the answers by now but if you haven't, here you go:

1. this link details how to schedule reports.

2. Unfortunately this is the only information you can recieve on Kibana. Queue details like that are only stored in Orchestrator, so you would need to use a tool that can query the Orchestrator database. For example, Insights, our product, has this information.

Hi Mitchell,

I am getting issue with dashboard.

Could not locate that visualization(id: 46401370-3b8e-11e9-905a-51ee11158e69)

Hi Aditya,

Normally that happens because something in the visualization file is modified. Did you try to edit anything in the file?

Thanks!

Michelle

cual es el precio?

para usar los tableros es gratis, pero lo de kibana/elasticsearch depende de su suscripción. elastic tiene version open source que no cuesta nada, y se puede aprovechar de mucha funcionalidad. incluyendo, tableros.

Hi Apurva, what exactly do you mean by queue details?

Hi Michelle,

How to make the Y-axis i.e Total Execution Time to show as hours?

I'm try to click "Management >> Index Patterns(make sure its under the kibana section), select the index pattern you're using, and click it"©, but in Kibana 6.7 i can't find 'Human Readable'.

Help me, please.

Hi Dmitry, you're going to want to go to management, index patterns, pick the index patter, and then search for the field (totalExecutionTimeinSeconds), then click the edit pencil button. You'll see a screen saying "Edit totalExecutionTimeInSeconds". Under the Format dropdown, select duration. This should do the trick

Hi Michelle, I sorted it out. It works like a charm. Thanks very much!

Thanks for respond to my message, Michelle. We do have Queues in our UiPath workflows. Some log entries having the TransactionStatus fields. But they appeared as unindexed. I checked the mapping of the index and those fields are in there. My current issue is how to index these fields. Do I have to reindex into a new index file? The Robot logs are feeding into the original index file. How can I ensure all the new documents are indexed with all the fields? Thanks!

Michelle Yurovsky

You definitely shouldn't have to reindex everything. what might have happened is that depending on your version of uipath, the field names might be slightly different for those queue fields. What version are you guys running of both uipath studio and orchestrator?

Joyce Zhu

Hi Michelle, the Errors and Jobs dashboards work like a charm. But the Queue one is not able to show. May I know if it is due to these fields are not indexed? What is the fix? Should I modify the mapping or setting on the indices, re-index the files? I am new to Elasticsearch/Kibana so please shed some lights. Thanks!

Could not locate that index-pattern-field (id: transactionStatus.keyword), (id: processingExceptionType.keyword), (id: queueItemPriority.keyword), (id: queueName.keyword)

Hey Joyce,

Sounds like you might not be using queues in your uipath workflows, which is why there are no values for those fields. Can you confirm that you have created a queue on orchestrator and are accessing it through the workflows that send logs to kibana?

Thanks!

Michelle

Hi Michelle, These graphs look great. How do I show the job complete vs Sopped vs Faulted. Orchestrator shows this status but doesn't allow to export the report. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks,

Rudrava.

Michelle Yurovsky

Hi Rudrava, I'm glad you're enjoying them! Unfortunately, you can't get the statuses on elasticsearch in the same way you can from orchestrator. the only thing you can do to make sure to see them in ES is to add custom logging to your code via the add log fields activity and log the status that way.

Hi Michelle,

Thank you, I am using standard info level rather warn/fatal level.

one quick question, if we are trying to catch the exception using try-catch block will those errors be reflected in elastic search?

Best Regards,

Venkata Pramod Chandra

Hi Venkata, the only errors that will be logged on their own are the ones that make your entire workflow error out. If you have a try catch with some error handling that continues on to do more activities, you'll need to log the error if you'd like it present in ES.

Hello Michelle,

Thank you for the dashboard.

I have imported your dashboard in Kibana 6.4. In Errors dashboard for Errors_Error details table visualization I am unable to retrieve system generated errors, I am able to retrieve only those errors which are manually logged per process.

Could you please help me on this?

Best regards,

Venkata Pramod Chandra

Hi Venkata, the errors you can see will depend on the logging level you have set on orchestrator. Information is the standard level, but if you have your level set to something like Warn or Fatal, you'll see less. Let me know if that doesn't help and we can see what else is missing!
