I simulated this code and added log messages to follow execution. The do while on the left is the only thing executed and it is an infinite loop (by design for the purpose of testing parallel execution) the sequence on the right with the delay is never executed. It seems these are not truly parallel unless I am missing something. Does this code work for whoever has tried it?
Hi Corinna, thanks for downloading and testing the component!
It is true that the Parallel activity is not trully parallel execution. However, this workflow indeed breaks when the timeout is exceeded. Did you modify the default value of the variable timeout to set after how much time you want the exception to appear?
Another thing that I would recommend is to try to have something in the loop that takes some time to execute (at least 50-100 milliseconds) and not only a log message for example, to prevent any kind of strange problems that could occur with the parallel activity.
