Display Message, Progress Bar, Display Image, Display HTML, and Information Panel are asynchronous to the main process and will not interrupt its execution.

Display Message, Progress Bar, Display Image, Display HTML, and Information Panel all accept Position in argument which allows you to show the window in one of display corners or in the center.

Display Message, Progress Bar, Display Image, Display HTML, and Information Panel all accept Handle in/out argument (HWND) which allows you to communicate with the window. At the first run of the activity the Handle argument is populated with newly created window handle value. At the following runs this value is used to reference existing window. Providing an empty value will create a new window of the same activity, allowing you to have multiple messages or progress bars at once.

Display Message, Progress Bar, Display Image, Display HTML, and Information Panel will be closed when the robot execution stops or could be stopped manually by using Close By Handle activity.

Display Message - displays a messages with customizable text, background color, position, opacity, font color, and font size. Could be configured to disappear on timed delay by providing a value for the Hide After argument. Display Message now supports Presets for easier configuration.

Display Image - displays an image/animation with customizable scale and position. Could be configured to disappear on timed delay by providing a value for the Hide After argument. Clicking on the image switches its TopMost property

Display HTML - displays an HTML snippet rendered by C# WebBrowser control with customizable position, size, and scrollbars. HTML code could be centred inside the box. WebBrowser does not render HTML as well as modern browsers but is on-par with IE8.

Windows Notification - displays a Windows Notification (Toast) with customizable title and text. You could configure the From, Title and the Message arguments, as well as select Audio sound which will play when the Notification will show. For advanced Windows developers XML could be used to fine-tune notification box appearance.

Progress Bar - displays a Windows Progress Bar in the center of the screen. Position, label, size, style of progress bar could be configured. Configurable min and max values. Color could be configured to be one of the predefined Windows colors (green, yellow and red). Note that Marque progress bar could only be green due to Windows limitation.

Information Panel - displays a windows, with several configurable row of messages, progress bar and optional buttons (pause process and close process). Could be used to control process execution and display its status.

Progress Color - helper activity. Returns a color from Red to Green spectrum based on the input value from 0 to 100. Could be used to dynamically color progress messages.

Close By Handle - closes a window by its handle (HWND).

- Add two more positioning possibilities: Center Top and Center bottom

- Add the possibility to start displaying a message within one action and hide/destroy it in another action (so that a message can be displayed during multiple steps)

Im having issues when using DisplayHtml in Debug mode. 

When clicking Debug File the "executuion ended" message will log immediately after starting, the form will not be displayed. The process is still in a running state according to Studio. The only way to stop the process is from the robot tray (i.e. cant stop it through Studio).

-To include User inputs like Textfield, dropdown, and checkbox from a new Panel called "Input Panel", which can be given at any instant of time and the input data need to change accordingly.

Chances on support for transparent pngs within Display Image?

Trying to understand how to display messages within the box throughout the flow.

eg, say, at the start of the loop, write 'commencing loop' into the information panel.

Also, how do you make the buttons on the panel actually work, eg, stop the script or pause the script?

I have used interactive activities it is working fine in development machine but while deploying in another machine it is throwing an error message as"The feed is either invalid or required packages were removed while the current operation was in progress.Verify the package exists on feed and try again"..

Good replacement - The notification part is just so much better than my old Attended Robot Status in quite a few ways, but the most important part is it being Async and better looking, so I'm using this now.
The extras are nice and logical additions as well.


Useful component. Especially, progress bar helps to reduce user stress in case of taking long time to process heavy works.

Great lightweight component - the Information Panel can be used to create a very nice transaction monitor for REFramework where statuses of individual transactions are displayed.  Keep it alive with new features!

Select Range activity documentation has wrong properties described, they wore copied from the previous activity.Could you please insert some examples of how can we select ranges? I've tried "A1:A50;H1:H50" in order to select the all in use cells from A column and H column, without success. I'm also confused on how "All", "EntireColumn" and "EntireRow" options in the same activity works, whenever I try, it only selects the range specified, when I put just the letter, it throws an exception.

A course lesson was showing me how Insert an Excel Table that could be used with the UIPath Excel Sort Table activity. When I ran a test the ClearContent erased the inserted Table, even with the options unchecked.Is there a way to use the ClearContent where it does not delete the inserted table?MaryB

I am getting an excel error message when I try to 'refresh all' pivot tables. I am using the 'refresh all' activity inside of the excel extension scope. The error message being thrown by excel says "We couldnt get the data from ___ in the workbook ______ please open this workbook". I used a run process to open the workbook but it's saying it isn't open. Is it possible to do a refresh all inside of the excel extension scope?

Do you have any additional documentation about working with Sessions? We are using it within a For Each and we start in excel, go perform a task, then pick the session back up. However, it only works properly on the first iteration. The second loop is failing. I am wondering if we are not using these sessions properly.

hi i get this error "PDFTO excel: Could not load file or assembly 'SautinSoft.PdfFocus, Version=7.0.3.29, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=0b79b934109b3e9e' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified."

1)How does it works?, or at least, it's possible to read a value wrong? As it's a non-image pdf, seems like as not using OCR could be just always correct?

2) Any hack or complementary library to get a collection of datatables from the read tabulars on the pages. For example a collection like: datatables["page1"][0]

If not, i'm planning to do some read of the excel then, but it's going to be hard as some columns are combined. Any idea would be nice!

3) Any option so to make the excel generated doesn't open the excel file, just save it? It's ok the default to save it in the same place.

I was referred to you from the forum... I have downloaded your Excel package and wan to use the EasyExcel.HyperLinks.InsertHyperlink.  

I am not sure which process to use to accomplish my task.  I have a hyperlink I scraped from a website but the hyperlink is too long so when it comes in excel it is a text string. 

We are trying to use the AutoFit Column activity within a loop but it continues to fault and gives the error that the file is already in use. Do you have any additional guidance on how to properly use this activity?

Hi, thanks for this solution. I have a problem when my project is run on a virtual machine where it is deployed. The mp4 file is created with a filesize +/- 4,097KB. That means something must have been created, but the video length is 0 or empty and the file is not playable on any media player. It is working fine when I run it from my local machine through the UI Studio. There is no error raisd. Any idea why? Thanks.

In my environment, it works on both AR and UR. Could you share more detailed information such as  error messages, your environment etc?

Redefine properties - The idea to have these activities is great.
From the activity I expected to add into a field the path to the folder I want to archive, an optional field where I can set the name of the archive and a field where I can add the path for my new archive.
However, it's unclear what should I have as input and output for these activities. As our goal is to allow anyone to use RPA, maybe a straightforward set of instructions will be helpful.


Works, but needs more - Great package! Works as advertised. However, it would be better if it had a way to output the files it extracted from the archive. Very useful for logging.

This set of activities gives your Robot ability to print documents, command the printer and obtain printer queue details.

Activity clears all jobs from queue assigned to printer, if printer name not provided, activity will be performed for default printer.

Activity gets data from queue assigned to specific printer, if printer not precised default one is used. Data is returned as <DataTable>.

This activity returns name of default system printer as string. So for output you have to use <string> variable/

This activity returns list of <string>s with names of all system printers (also not-real ones like print to pdf or print to OneNote). For output you have to use list of strings (System.Collections.Generic.List<System.String>):

Stops provided printer name (or for default system printer if name not provided). It doesn’t stop jobs in the queue, it stops whole printer as a hardware.

It has the same effect if user open queue for printer, choose menu Printer -> Pause Printing

Takes as input printer name (which can be obtained using List Printers activity) or uses default system printer.

As an output it returns a dictionary of (string, Boolean). String is a status name and Boolean is false of true for specific status. Your printer has to report specific status i.e. printer door is open to system, otherwise it will not be returned by this activity.

If printer has status ‘Paused’, it resumes print to work.

This activity can be used to change/set default system printer. You should use printer name (which can be obtained using “List Printers” activity. Name – Input – should be provided as <string>.

Hi, any options for printing double-sided and single-sided? We need to edit the printer properties. How can I do that?

The Set Default Printer and Print File work like a charm, but the Print PDF activity is only opening the document, not printing.
