How to use:

  

Use it before starting the main process to check that all required files/folders/credentials exists. If the output status = False, you can send a notification to the user, otherwise you can start the main process.

  

Inputs

1.  array of credentials to check  - Robot will check whether each credential in the array exists.
2.  array of files to check - Robot will check whether each file in the array exists.
3.  array of folders to check - Robot will check whether each folder in the array exists. If it doesnt exist then it will attempt to create it.

Outputs

1.  HTML status (String) - HTML summary of each file, folder, and credential, can use in Email Body.
2.  Final result (Boolean) - Boolean status, True if everything exists, False otherwise.

Checks whether the list of files, folders and credentials exists and returns a Boolean status and also a HTML summary that you can add to your email body.

This package contains 2 activities:

  

**1) Convert DT column to HTML** - converts a DataTable column to HTML format.

  

Inputs

  

a)  In\_columnName – name of the column that needs to be converted to HTML.

b)  In\_dt = DataTable

c)  In\_outputTextFilePath (optional) – if filled in, it will also write the column into a text file (useful

for SAP operations).

  

Outputs

a) Out\_columnListHTML – the output HTML text.

  

  

**2) Convert Excel column to HTML** - converts an Excel column to HTML format.

  

Inputs

  

a) In\_columnName – name of the column to be converted to HTML.

b) In\_rangeToRead – Excel range to read (“leave blank to read from A1”).

c) In\_sheetName – the name of the sheet.

d) In\_excelPath - Excel path.

e) In\_outputTextFilePath (optional) – if filled in, it will also write the column into a text file (useful

for SAP operations).

f) In\_useFilter - if this is True, it will only read the filtered cells (if filter exists) and not the whole table.

  

Outputs

  

c) Out\_columnListHTML – the output HTML text.

Convert Excel / DataTable column to HTML format.

The template contains 4 states:

  

1\. **Initialize** - For reading config / running initialization healthcheck. If Healthcheck pass, go to **Process**, otherwise go to **End.**

2\. **Process** - For copying files to working folder and starting your main framework/sequence, after that go to **Archive.**

3\. **Archive** - Copying working folder to archive folder, after that go to **End.**

4\. End

  

REFramework is not 100% generic (maybe apart from the Init state), it is process specific and cannot be simply migrated to other processes without changing variables/arguments (because processes have different data sources such as queues / tables / DB etc). Hence adding a generic framework allows you to separate generic steps and process-specific steps. What are the differences?

  

a. Generic steps include:

1.  Reading config file
2.  System Health checks
3.  Copying files to working folder
4.  Archiving files

b. Process specific steps include:

1.  Getting queue data
2.  Reading input file
3.  Reading DB
4.  Running main process flow

Generic framework applicable to any process, and can be built on top of your own processes. Easy to configure.

**Input**

This snippet is useful with handling pop-ups that **block execution**. These pop-ups cannot be handled normally because they block UiPath execution until the user manually clicks on them e.g.

*   Excel pop-ups
*   UiPath message boxes
*   VBA popu-ps e.g. message box / error pop-ups
*   SAP download warning pop-up

This snippet helps with handling pop-ups that block execution.

Some activities such as **SAP.ReadStatusbar** activity do not follow the Timeout property if the SAP session has hung or has been disconnected.  It will keep running forever until the user manually kills SAP.

  

With this snippet, you can enforce a timeout by having a separate timeout handler that runs independent of your main flow, meaning it will not get affected by events such as SAP being busy/hung. If the timeout does occur you can let the robot perform actions such as kill SAP etc, which will solve the above problem.
